Covid Policies - Effective 9/21/2021

  1. Masks are required for all individuals (age 5 and above) that enter our building, regardless of vaccination status. The majority of our clients are not old enough to receive the vaccination and we want help to ensure that we are doing everything possible to stop the spread. Gymnasts will be allowed to take down and/or remove their masks at their coach’s discretion for skills where the mask could cause a safety concern. We will also take mask breaks often.

  1. One adult spectator per participating child will be allowed to stay within our facility during class to help to ensure that we are maintaining our Covid protocols to keep everyone safe and comfortable! We understand that siblings may need to be brought with and they are the exception to this policy. If you have a situation where you need to have more than 1 adult, please reach out to us prior to arriving so that we can try to accommodate your request.

  1. We will continue to take temperatures of all individuals that enter our facility. If your temperature is 100.4 or higher, you will be asked to leave and schedule a makeup. We will also be asking each person a series of COVID questions. Shooting Stars reserves the right to ask individuals to leave the premises.

  1. Please make sure that your child brings a filled water bottle with his/her name on it to EVERY practice. We will no longer be offering water bottles to those that forget. We only allow plain, non-carbonated water on the gym floor.

  1. We will be utilizing the Decision Tree published by the MDH to determine when and or if a participant/family needs to quarantine. Please reach out and ask when you are unsure if your child should be attending practices. Our main goal is to keep everyone healthy and safe!

While we understand that these circumstances are not ideal, we here at Shooting Stars want to help keep all of our families safe and healthy. Unfortunately, last year we were forced to close our doors, which had a huge economic impact on all our staff. We have gymnasts that train year-round to prepare for competitions and we want to do everything that we can to help them have a competitive season this year.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
